Description

Integrated Solid Waste Management Project for Belarus is part of the World Bank funded programme. The purpose of this Project is to increase environmental benefits of integrated solid waste management in the City of Grodno through recovery and reuse of recyclable materials and strengthen national capacity to manage hazardous wastes associated with Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).

Project design foresees two key assignments: the design and supervision for the construction of the waste separation facility; and the contract for construction of the waste separation facility with a capacity of 120,000 tons per year in the city of Grodno.

Eptisa is carrying out the design and work supervision of the materials recovery facility (MRF). Company’s activities in the region led to key stuff mobilization and active progress in accomplishing main tasks of the assignment.

Solid Waste Management Project, by nature of the international tendering, represents an opportunity for Eptisa to assert company’s presence in Belarusian waste management market, which has high entry barrier due to political and historical particularities.
