Digital cartography to update the rural and urban cadastre in Costa Rica

The main objective of the project is to optimize the juridical security of the rights over the real state properties to make easier the public and private investments in Costa Rica.
The programme, with a 92 millions USA dollars budget has three components: settling a National Cadastre according to the Property Register; Prevention and resolution of the conflicts about the real state rights and municipal strengthening using the cadastre information.
In this programme, Eptisa has been hired to provide Costa Rica with a cadastre in 1:5,000 and 1:1,000 scales to afford the Rural and Urban Cadastre projects, Real State Register Information System (SIRI) and the National System for Territorial Information (SNIT). Achieving this, Eptisa has developed the following activities in 1:5,000 and 1:1,000 scales:
- Ground support
- Altimetric and planimetric restitution of each of the cartographical sheets of the digital archive in DXF, TIFF and SHAPE format
- Digital Terrain Model
- Orthogonal photography
- Final report
