Commencement of the extension and modernization of the water supply systems in Buzau County in Romania

The contract includes the construction of various water treatment plants and the extension of water supply networks

The European Union awarded Eptisa a new technical assistance contract in Romania to supervise the extension and modernization of the water supply systems in Buzau County, aimed to extend the coverage rate of the centralised water supply services and wastewater services in Buzau County.

The contract includes two lots of construction works. The first one for the construction of 4 new water treatment plants in Buzau y Sapoca, and the second for the construction and installation works for new water supply networks in Buzau County, Vernesti and Spataru localities. This works also include the construction and installation for water supply, installation of technological equipment, drinking water pumping stations, execution of electrical connections, execution of data transmission systems SCADA and training the personnel.

Eptisa acts as Engineer under the FIDIC Conditions of Contract, Yellow and Red Book, and will establish the management system, the supervision of the two works contracts and a monitoring system able to ensure efficient services through costs control, progress monitoring, safety, environmental protection, cooperation with relevant authorities and other stakeholders.
