Within the Project Preparatory Technical Assistance for the Water Resources Management in Pyanj River Basin in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, which was awarded to Eptisa by the Asian Development Bank, the end-of-Inception Phase Workshop was held on 4th of December 2014. This Workshop was held in Conference Room of Ministry of Energy and Water Resources (MEWR), in Dushanbe with the attendance of nearly 35 participants from Asian Development Bank, PPTA Consultant’s Team, and different governmental institutions, international and non-governmental institutions.

Mr. Ryutaro Takaku, Senior Water Resources Specialist from Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture Division Central and West Asia Department of ADB briefly referred to the progress and thanked to the Consultant’s team for the progress achieved.

Presentations were given by the PPTA Consultant’s Team in order to discuss main findings and conclusions of the Inception Phase with the key stakeholders and to obtain feedback to ensure their involvement in Project.

The indicative objective of the PPTA is to design a stand-alone grant investment project for increased farm incomes in the Chubek Irrigation System area in Pyanj River Basin. With the project investment package to be intended by the Consultant, institutional and physical capacities of water resources management in the Pyanj River Basin will be improved.
