Eptisa carries out environmental control and monitoring of the Areosa landfill and urban waste transfer plants in Galicia, Spain

This contract renewal includes the Areosa landfill, 19 urban waste transfer plants and the Cerceda Environmental Complex

Since 2010 Eptisa carries out the environmental control and monitoring of the Areosa landfill, the environmental complex and urban waste transfer plants for the public Galician environmental agency SOGAMA.

The activities of this project include the inspection of wastewater spill, control and monitoring of surface water and underground water, analysis of leachate, noise level monitoring, control and monitoring of atmospheric emissions, topographic control and meteorological data collection.

Recently Eptisa has received a contract renewal with SOGAMA, extending the project until 2016. The activities that will be carried out under this new contract include the necessary environmental monitoring in the Areosa landfill, in the urban waste transfer plants operated by SOGAMA (Boiro, Cee, Narón, Santa Comba, Santiago de Compostela, Barreiros, Becerreá, Chantada, Lugo, Monforte, Sarria, Viveiro, A Rúa, San Cibrao das Viñas, Porriño, Ribadumia, Roseira, Silleda and Vigo) and partially in the Cerceda Environmental Complex.
