Eptisa carries out the monitoring of the Duero River Basin Hydrological Plan and of its action programme implementation in Spain

Eptisa has received a new contract addendum to carry out the monitoring of the Duero River Basin Hydrological Plan and of its action programme implementation.

After the drawing of the final version of the Duero River Basin Hydrological Plan and the approval by the Spanish Government through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and the National Water Council, it’s expected to progress in the planning process for the Duero river basin according to the criteria and guidance of the EU Water Framework Directive, continuing with the monitoring of the Action Plan and other plans and programmes related to the Duero River Basin Hydrological Plan.

The basin area is 78.889 km2 which corresponds to the Spanish site, and will benefit close to 2,200,000 inhabitants.

The activities that will be carried out, among others: monitoring of the Action Programme; tasks related to the Pubic Consultation for the Draft Hydrological Plan; Tasks related to reporting information to different organism, stakeholders, etc. regarding the implementation of the Duero River Basin Hydrological Plan; monitoring of other plans and programmes related to the Duero River Basin Hydrological Plan; proposal of corrective actions and additional measures.
