Eptisa has been awarded with a new turnkey contract of remedial measures in the tailings deposits of the Riotinto Mine in Huelva.

The main objective of the project is to carry out a series of reinforcements in the walls made with retaining loose materials from the tailing deposits to guarantee their stability and long term durability. The reinforcements are created by rocky materials coming from the demolition of the front of the mine, arranged in layers 10m wide, appropriately extended and compacted, protecting the existing sand walls caused by the growth of the waste produced by the treatment plant.

Eptisa will provide the services of project and execution management and safety and health coordination, including the control of terms, quality and costs, the management of contracting and subcontracting works and the technical advice to the owner.
