Eptisa has completed two works contracts in Targoviste, Romania, financed under Phare 2005 ESC Programme

The projects for the "Reintroduction in the Tourist Circuit of the Princely Court of Targoviste, Lot 1 and Lot 2" have finalized on October 2010

Within the project "Management and Supervision of Works financed under Phare 2005 ESC", EPTISA completed and handed over the Works related to the Contracts "Reintroduction in the Tourist Circuit of the Princely Court of Targoviste - the First Political and Cultural Capital of the Historic Region "Tara Romaneasca", Lot 1 and Lot 2" in Romania with a value of more than 7 million Euro.

Targoviste Princely Court is a Monument Complex located in the southern part of Romania, whereas Targoviste being the first political and cultural capital of the Historic Region "Tara Romaneasca". The complex is constituted of: Palace, fortification walls, protecting towers and religious buildings, which were built during the XVI century.

The works had been commenced on December 2007 and were handed over on October 6th 2010, being finalized according to the contract terms and conditions. Eptisa covered all stages of the works included the rehabilitation of the electrical, water and wastewater networks, roads rehabilitation works as well as architectural illumination network for three representative buildings within the historic center of Targoviste Municipality.

Within the Phare 2005 ESC project, Eptisa's overall objective is to provide support to the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Housing and other beneficiaries in the project management and works supervision of 10 works contracts financed under Phare 2005 ESC in order to be successfully implemented in the appropriate time, cost and quality as agreed in the contract. This is a very complex project due to its extremely various objectives which included the rehabilitation of the tourism infrastructure (6 contracts), transport infrastructure (2 contracts) and business infrastructure (2 contracts).

These are the 5th and 6th works contracts completed out of the 10 project contracts supervised by Eptisa. The other four finalised contracts were:

  • Increase the Resort Potential of the Salt Lakes in the North West Region (Dej),
  • Increase the tourist attraction of the zone with balneal potential - the Salt Lakes in Durgau area - Salt Valley and Turda Salt Mine
  • Rehabilitation of the tourism infrastructure in Slanic Prahova resort.
  • Project for the integrated development of the Baile Olanesti Resort (Ramnicu Valcea).
