Eptisa is carrying out a new project for the rehabilitation of the heating system in Iasi, Romania

This project aims to carry out the modernization of the centralized heating system in conformity with the current environmental protection legislation

Eptisa was awarded a new project in Romania titled "Rehabilitation of the heating system in Iasi Municipality for compliance with the environmental standards on air emissions and for increasing the efficiency of the urban heating supply system", which has a budget of EUR 1.069.000 and will be implemented until February 2014.

This project aims to carry out the modernization of the centralized heating system in conformity with the current environmental protection legislation as well as improve of life quality in Romania which will be reflected in the quality of the environmental factors and population health, as a result of the investments in infrastructure imposed by the social-economic cohesion for convergence with UE policy.

Eptisa, in accordance with FIDIC Red and Yellow Book and the Law 10/1995 for quality in constructions, will provide technical assistance and works supervision during the execution of the following six works contracts:

  • Refurbishment hot water boilers CAF 1, Caf 3 si Caf 4 from CET 1
  • Refurbishment stem boiler CAE 2 from CET 2
  • New installation of desulphurisation
  • Dry ash collection systems
  • Refurbishment transport pumps in CET 1 and 2
  • Refurbishment transport system, M2 main pipe line.

Thus covering all 6 contract stages: Pre-construction, Mobilization, Construction, Works Contracts Close Out, Defects Notification Period, and Contract Completion.

This project is part of the Sectoral Operational Programme for Environment (SOP Environment) which supports the investments for Large Combustion Plants owned by local authorities, functioning within the municipal heating systems, aiming to reduce the gas emissions at installations level and to improve the heating supply efficiency by refurbishment and hot water loss reduction.
