For four days, from Monday February 17 to Thursday February 20, Eptisa organized in Addis Ababa a training in Road Safety issues for 35 civil servants of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The four days training sessions have been carried out within the framework of the project "Consultancy Service for Road Safety Assessment of parts of core (paved) trunk road network in Ethiopia".

On Monday morning, His Excellency the Ambassador of Spain in Ethiopia, Mr. Montesino, and in the presence of the media, inaugurated the workshop in Best Western Plus Hotel, where theoretical sessions were held on the first and fourth day of the training. During these two days, the team of experts from Eptisa shared their extensive knowledge with the attendees.

The second and the third day, in-the-field training was given. Tuesday the trainers along with the trainees went to the outskirts of Addis Ababa, in the way to Debre Markos, to do a site visit on the status of the road safety of the road. The third day of the training, Wednesday 19, the training was given in the expressway that communicates Addis Ababa and Adama.

During the last day, an award ceremony was organized and every attendee received a certificate of assistance of the four-days training course.

The consultancy service project started in March 2019 and it is close to finalize this year, so this activity is one of the last to be organized within the framework of the project. It has the aim to transfer knowledge to the civil servants of the country so in the future some of the tasks implemented by Eptisa can be done at local level.
