The European Investment Bank (EIB) awarded Eptisa a new project to provide technical assistance for the non-revenue water investigations in six towns in Georgia.

The overall objective of this EIB-funded contract is to assist the United Water Supply Company of Georgia (UWSCG) to prepare and implement water sector investment schemes and improve the performance of the water supply and wastewater infrastructure assets in the country.

During 24 months Eptisa will be carrying out non-revenue water feasibility studies and a Priority Investment Programme for network upgrades in six selected towns (Chiatura, Khashuri, Ozurgeti, Poti, Sagarejo and Zestaponi), and preparing the draft ToRs for design of the priority components (detail designs, tender documentation) for the six towns for implementation under FIDIC 1999 Red Book or FIDIC 1999 Yellow Book as appropriate.

Furthermore, Eptisa will provide capacity building to improve the capacity of the UWSCG, train the existing staffs in non-revenue water reduction techniques and transfer of know-how.
