EPTISA Romania has signed the contract for Technical Assistance for project management and works supervision for the Regional water and wastewater development in Dolj County

This new project involves rehabilitation, extension and construction of new water supply and sewerage systems. It is co-financed by the EU

The project aims to improve the infrastructure in the water and wastewater sector in Dolj and Gorj Counties. From this project will benefit around 370,000 inhabitants. The total value of the contract signed between the regional Water Co and Ministry of European Funds is 444.8 million EUR.

The project is divided on two components: supervision of works and technical assistance for project management.

The objective of the project is to expand and modernize the water and wastewater supply system in the project area and consists mainly of the following measures, distributed into 22 works contracts:

- extension and rehabilitation of 222 km of water supply pipelines and 169 km of drinking water distribution networks;

- extension and rehabilitation of 448 km of sewerage networks and construction of 84 km of new discharge pipes;

- rehabilitation of water tanks;

- extension and rehabilitation of Isvarna large water supply main, with a length of 122 km with the improvement of the capture enclosure, construction of 4 new wastewater pumping stations, new hypochlorite station.

EPTISA has worked in Dolj County and with the Water Company continuously since 2003, knowing during this time the local market and thus gaining the Client's trust. One of EPTISA Romania’s regional offices has been located in Craiova, this county’s capital city (294,000 inhabitants).
