Eptisa started the implementation of a new contract in the waste management sector in Romania

With this consultancy services contract, Eptisa will supervise the construction works for the Integrated Solid Waste Management System in Bihor County

The Bihor County Council has awarded Eptisa a new contract for the supervision of the works within the project “Integrated Solid Waste Management System in Bihor County” cofounded by the European Fund for Regional Development and State Budget.

During this project Eptisa will provide complete supervision services for the construction works and acquisition of related equipments for the integrated waste management system in Bihor County, in accordance with Law 10/1995 and with national and European regulations and requirements of the Financing Institutions.

The expected results of this project are the safety implementation in terms of duration, cost and quality of the contract and capacity building of the Project Implementation Unit for works supervision.

The project aims to develop waste infrastructure in Bihor County and covers the following works:

  • Construction of a mechanical-biological treatment installation (MBT) in Oradea and provision of related equipments according to the project
  • Closure of 8 non-compliant urban landfills in Beius, Alesd, Sacuieni, Stei, Margita, Valea lui Mihai, Salonta and Oradea
  • Construction of 3 transfer and sorting installations in Beius, Margita and Salonta and provision of relevant equipments
  • Construction of a transfer station in Sacuieni and a temporary waste storage in Stei and provision of relevant equipments
  • Construction of access roads.
