Eptisa TI implements in the Regional Government of the Province of Malaga a solution to query from one interface the information stored in different databases

From the new application named "Municipal Facilities Control System", it will be able to query a wide range of information and to group it by thematic and municipalities

Eptisa TI has implemented a web solution in the Malaga Government which will make possible to the institution managers (Deputies and Technical Directors) look up and exploit the information stored in different databases in a faster and simple way. The solution developed by Eptisa, named "Municipal Facilities Control System", enables access to numerous and fragmented information through a single user interface. Its results are shown in lists, graphics, reports and maps.

Until the implementation of this solution, the query in each thematic database of the Malaga Government was required to use different software and long processing by the system Administrator.

However, after the implementation of the Municipal Facilities Control System through the integration of a web solution, it will make it possible to query easily a number of parameters and indicators of information in all the databases available in the Malaga Government. A key point of the new solution is the possibility of define both thematic and territorial scope of the queries.

This project demanded two main requirements which were, on the one hand, the need to provide an easy, comfortable and efficient access to the current information. And on the other hand, the dynamic creation of results, as well as to leave the solution open for future inclusion of new queries, depending on the needs that will arise to the Government of Malaga.

The web solution implemented by Eptisa TI has as main elements: ArcGIS Server 10, SQL Server, OpenLayers, JFreeChart, JasperReport, ExtJS, Java and JavaScript.
