Eptisa will carry out the quality control and monitoring of the works in different sections of the High Speed Railway Line (AVE) Madrid-Galicia

The project include the sections Espiño Tunnel left track, Prado-Porto and O Cañizo Tunnel left track

Eptisa has been awarded three new projects to provide technical assistance for the quality control and monitoring of the works in different sections of the High Speed Railway Line (AVE) Madrid-Galicia.

The works include the supervision and monitoring of the implementation and development of the contractor’s quality assurance plan in the fields of: quality control of works’ materials and environmental control. A laboratory has been installed in situ for testing materials: concrete, steels, soil and aggregate characterization, among others.

The sections in which Eptisa will participate are the following:

  • Espiño Tunnel left track for the “Túnel del Espilño via izquierda” Joint Venture, formed by OHL, Elsan and Construcciones Sobrino. The section is 8.5 Km long.
  • Prado-Porto section, for the “Prado-Porto” Joint Venture, formed by Vías y Construcciones S.A.,Torrescámara y Cía de obras S.A. and Vimac S.A. The section is 9.8 Km long.
  • O Cañizo Tunnel left track, for the “Cañizo Vía Izquierda” Joint Venture, formed by Assignia Infraestructuras S.A., Copcisa y Velasco S.A. and Obras y Servicios S.A. The section is 5.6 Km long.

In addition, Eptisa is carrying out the tests prior to the installation of their own laboratories in the following sections:

  • Corno Tunnel rignt track, for the “Túnel Corno Vía derecha” Joint Venture, formed by Corsan, Corviam construcción S.A. and Taboada y Ramos S.L.
  • Prado Tunnel left track, for the “Túnel Prado” Joint Venture, formed by Dragados S.A. and Tecsa empresa constructora S.A.

We also carry out quality control tests for the Joint Venture formed by Eptisa and Applus in the project for the works supervision of the section Portocamba-Cerdedelo.
