Eptisa TI has been awarded a new contract in Peru for the development of an Integrated Geographic Information System for the Drinking Water and Sewerage Service of Lima (SEDAPAL). The project will last 16 months.

The first objective of the Information System, based on ArcGIS technology, is to homogenize and integrate all the geographic information into an only database which currently SEDAPAL manages in different formats, methods and coordinates. Furthermore some new GIS applications will be developed for the network management and the integration with all commercial and operational systems of the company.

Eptisa TI will carry out the following activities, among others: planning and project management, defining and installing required hardware and software architecture, defining the data models of the solution, developing custom functionalities and integrating the GIS with the commercial and operational systems of the company.

The proposed solution includes custom application development for the management of the network, client’s data, works and maintenance. All this will result in an increase of the efficiency in the commercial and operational management of the company, will facilitate the decision-making and will improve the citizens’ services.

This new project joins others carried out by Eptisa TI in the water sector, among which are highlighted the corporate GIS developments for the water operators “Canal de Isabel II” in Madrid and “Aguas de Txingudi” in the Basque Country.
