Eptisa will participate in the new Urban Mobility Plan of the A Coruña City Council, Spain

The Plan aims to chive a sustainable transport, compatible with economic development, social cohesion and environmental defence

The A Coruña City Council has awarded to Eptisa – Ineco Joint Venture a new contract to develop the A Coruña Urban Mobility Strategy, with the aim of implement the necessary measures to achieve a sustainable transport, compatible with economic development, social cohesion and environmental defence.

During the next 9 months, the Joint Venture will draw up the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan and will develop it through the Technological and Operational Office of Transportation, which will be operative during 20 months from starting of the project. The Office will provide assistance for the implementation and monitoring of the Plan, the definition and monitoring of the Balance Scorecard and its associated key performance indicators. It will also carry out the identification of collaborative projects, the technological coordination and the resolution of contingencies about transportation.

Under the contract, the Joint Venture will identify the needs and objectives to plan and schedule the activities in all fields concerning the transportation in the municipality and its metropolitan area. Furthermore, it will plan the technological deployment to implement the Urban Mobility Plan; and will develop a citizen participation strategy and an awareness campaign through creating a related website, implementing a mobility barometer, and organising focus groups for stakeholders’ dialogue.
