The civil works contracts will include a variety of works, such as roads, water and sanitation, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, street lighting, municipal markets, etc.

Construction-rehabilitation of Georgian infrastructure is one of the priorities of the country in the way of its building and, in order to achieve it, Georgia applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Regional and Municipal Infrastructure Development Project (SRMIDP).

Overall management and coordination of implementation and supervision of the reconstruction-rehabilitation of infrastructure on the whole territory will be executed by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, established by the Government under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructures.

Within this framework, Eptisa has been awarded a new contract to supervise the contracts of construction or/and rehabilitation works, as the Project Manager on behalf of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF).

The overall objective of construction supervision is to execute control over the rehabilitation works in order to ensure high quality of construction, adherence to the terms of work execution provided for in the construction contracts in compliance with the detailed design and specification requirements, which in its turn will result in reliability, long-term sustainability and efficient operation of the rehabilitated works. As necessary, Eptisa will assist MDF with overall contract management and approve "as built" drawings prepared by contractors.

The civil works contracts, to be supervised, will include a variety of works, such as roads, water and sanitation, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, street lighting, municipal markets, community facilities, bridges, tunnels, sport facilities, health and educational facilities, communication lines, gas supply and bank reinforcement.

The tentative duration of the assignment is 18 months, plus defects liability period 12 months after completion of works.
