July 28 2017

The European Commission has awarded Eptisa, as a part of the consortium led by the company IBF, a contract to provide technical assistance to the National Director of the Support Programme to Sustainable Local Development and Social Actions of the North-West of Algeria (ATA PADSEL-NOA) until April 2019.

The purpose of the Programme is to support the Algerian government’s efforts to stimulate the social and economic development of the targeted regions, while privileging the private sector as a motor of job creation. The main goal is to reduce the social and economic disparities thanks to the integrated and sustainable development of the municipalities and provinces or wilayas concerned.

The Programme is aligned with the government’s strategy oriented to develop the Hautes Plaines region and intends to support six wilayas from this region and the north-central Algeria, concretely: Saïda, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Aïn Defla, Chlef and Medea.

The scheduled activities include, amongst others, a study on the training needs and the implementation of an action plan for employment promotion in the wilayas with a high unemployment rate. In addition, the establishment of public-private dialogue system at a central and local level and the creation of an institutional communication plan, aimed to stimulate the local population, will be carried out.
