The European Union has awarded Eptisa a new project in Haiti within the State Building Contract

The project will strengthen the Government capacities in the public finances management, public services reform and education

The European Union Delegation to Haiti has awarded Eptisa a technical assistance contract to provide institutional support to the Government of Haiti aimed to strengthen its capacities in three main areas of action:

  • The public finances management, transparency and control of public accounts
  • Administration and public services reform
  • Education and professional training

This contract is part of the budget support to the State Building Contract, adopted by the European Commission and contextualized on the fragile situation of the country, and aims to contribute to the implementation of key reforms in the three main areas of action

The expected results to achieve are:

  • Improvement the capacities of the Haitian State for the launch and monitoring of the public finances reform and an overall improvement in the management of public finances in the new Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) assessment.
  • Strengthening the capacities to launch the reform of the central administration and the new public services system.
  • Reinforcement of the capabilities of the Ministry of Education to achieve the objectives of the educational reform.
  • The project is launched coordinated with other components of the Budget Support Program, being favorable to the synergy between the interventions of technical and finance partners involved.

With 24 months of duration, the project will be implemented between March 2015 and March 2017.
