World Water Day 2018

World Water Day is coordinated by UN-Water, a UN collaboration mechanism for issues related to drinking water in which governments and other entities participate

March 22, 2018

World Water Day is celebrated every year on March 22, aims to capture the attention to the importance of this natural resource.

With this year's theme, "The answer is in nature," we explore nature-based solutions to the water challenges we face in the 21st century.

Environmental problems, together with climate change, are causing the crisis associated with water resources that occur throughout the world. Floods, droughts and water pollution are aggravated by the degradation of vegetation cover, soils, rivers and lakes.

Today at Eptisa we join the celebration of World Water Day to become fully aware and reflect on this precious asset which is essential for human development and, in some areas, increasingly scarce.

We think that progress must be accompanied by the conservation of the environment. Without a healthy environment, society can’t develop qualitatively. For this reason, we strive to minimize the environmental impact of our activities by applying a program of good environmental best practices in order to save on the consumption of resources and perform a proper waste management.

Every day we work with the main objective of improving the access and quality of drinking water, the wastewater treatment, as well as assisting local governments with the establishment of sustainable urban developments and infrastructure resilient to climate change. These are three important factors which we intend to improve the health and quality of life of people.

Because of this, at Eptisa we are committed to continue developing solutions that guarantee the socio-environmental sustainability of our planet and enhance the development of society.
