Acciona Energía commissioned this project which, in the case of the Paso Nuevo dam, consisted of automation of the pendulum system by upgrading and modernization of these instruments, essential for the operability of the auscultation system in concrete dams. The scope of the works consisted of relocating the planchets for manual control and installation of automatic remote control pendulums.

In the first phase of the Canfranc dam project we inspected the 65 sensors that comprise the instrumentation system and replaced inoperative devices. Subsequently, we programmed the programmable logic controller (PLC) and start-up and validated the automated control system including verification of the communications between the PLC programming in the dam and the Control Centre in Pamplona. We also submitted the final documentation of the work carried out.
