The proposed Project mainly focuses on construction of power distribution infrastructure for the electrification of all unserved sub-county headquarters and priority load growth centres within the 13 service territories

The consultant shall oversee the preparation of engineering designs for the project, undertake construction supervision with a focus on quality control and management, maintain an updated GIS data base for all the schemes implemented, facilitate project commissioning and handover and mobilise communities for connections to achieve the initial target of about 180,000 connections.

Main data:

• Construction of over 4,000 km of 33kV Medium Voltage (MV) lines
• Construction of about 6,000 km of low Voltage (LV) networks
• Installations of over 3000 distribution transformers (mounted on poles)
• Connection of 168,335 single-phase consumers and 4,254 three-phase consumers
