Pedro holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a Master\u2019s Degree in Road Maintenance and Operations from the International University of La Rioja.<\/p>\n\n
Pedro Beltr\u00e1n is the Director for the Spain and Africa Regions. He has over 22 years of experience in the civil engineering sector in Spain, and more than 10 years of international experience.
What motivated you to join Eptisa?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n At the beginning of my professional career, Eptisa was a benchmark engineering firm to which all new graduates aspired.<\/p>\n\n How would you define your leadership style?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n I try to base my leadership on three fundamental pillars: firmness, especially with regard to my convictions; active listening, I have always learned more by listening than by speaking; and finally, trust, without which it is impossible to form a highly effective team.<\/p>\n\n What value do you think is essential in a team?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n I believe that the greatest value of a team lies in the fact that the members that compose it really want to belong to it, and it is the leader’s responsibility to generate the appropriate ecosystem to achieve this.<\/p>\n\n Which Eptisa project has made a special impression on you and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n In my case, the project that represented a turning point in my professional career and that broadened both my professional perspective and my life plan was the design and supervision of an 85 km stretch of road between Agamsa and Bure, in Ethiopia, crossing the Blue Nile gorge.<\/p>\n\n What is your greatest challenge as an executive today?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n Grow sustainably.<\/p>\n\n What message would you like to share with the next generation of engineers or professionals in the sector?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n I would like to convey two messages to the new generations: the first is that they should not doubt that they have chosen the most beautiful profession in the world, and the second is that they should be brave when facing the challenges of the future.<\/p>\n\n What inspires you outside of work?
