Durable solutions for refugees and displaced persons in the Western Balkans

The Regional Housing Program (RHP), also known as the Sarajevo Process, is a joint initiative between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia to provide durable solutions for refugees and internally displaced persons following the conflicts in the Balkans. With a budget of 23 million euros in technical assistance, the program has made a significant impact in the region.

Key results:
  • More than 36,000 vulnerable people benefited
  • More than 11,300 families with access to decent and safe housing
  • Ongoing technical support for planning, implementation and sustainability of the program
  • International coordination for the fulfillment of human rights and social cohesion standards

Impact:

The project has contributed to regional reconciliation and post-conflict reconstruction, strengthening social integration and providing stability to thousands of people in situations of prolonged vulnerability.
