The main objective of this program is to establish a sustainable urban solid waste (USW) management system in the province of Jujuy, thus contributing to the protection of the environment and the reduction of greenhouse gases.

A complete diagnosis of the initial situation was carried out, based on which a comprehensive action plan was designed:

• Optimized logistics system for waste collection
• Infrastructure for treatment and final disposal
• Development of a biogas plant
• Sorting and transfer stations
• Installation of collection points
• Closure and remediation of existing landfills

Expected impact:

This project marks a milestone in the environmental transformation of Jujuy, promoting the circular economy, improving sanitation conditions and significantly reducing the environmental footprint of urban solid waste.
