Improved connectivity of the A-23 highway with the V-23 and the AP-7 highway.

The objective of this project is to improve the connectivity between the A-23 highway, the V-23 and the AP-7 highway, in an area of high traffic density and strategic relevance for the Mediterranean corridor.

The actions contemplated include:
  • Redesign of the A-23 / V-23 / N-340 junction as a junction with directional branches, improving traffic flow and safety.
  • Geometric optimization of the A-23 / AP-7 junction, improving all existing connections through adjustments in layout and design.
  • Improved local connectivity in the vicinity of both links.
  • Rehabilitation of the section of the A-23 between the two junctions to improve its functionality.
  • Expansion of the capacity of the AP-7, in the section between the AP-7/A-23 junction and the AP-7/A-7 fork.
  • Construction of 18 new structures, including overpasses, underpasses and viaducts, to guarantee the functionality of the projected road system.

Project Impact:

The intervention will increase traffic capacity and safety, reduce travel times, and strengthen the logistical and territorial connectivity of the Mediterranean arc.
