Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 425 MW combined cycle power plant at the Alejandro River Energy Park. It includes:
- A 4 km access road from the national highway
- A 230 kV generation substation
- A 14 km transmission line to the Sabanitas substation
- An LNG terminal to receive liquefied gas via FSU, regasify it, and supply it as fuel to the power plant
Scope of Services: PMC / OE
Sinolam Smarter Energy contracted Chinovela to provide Project Management / Owners Engineer services, with engineering teams based in Spain and China, and a local team in Panama.
EPTISA participated as a subcontractor of Chinovela in the local management team, performing key roles:
- Deputy Project Management: Representing the Owner in front of the EPC contractor
- Planning Management: Issuance of weekly activity and progress reports
- Documentation Management: SharePoint system configuration with the Central IT Department
- On-site Construction Supervision
- Construction Manager
- Civil Works Supervisor, Electrical Works Supervisor, QA/QC and HSE Supervisors
- Technical Review from Central Offices: Structural/architectural design, HVAC systems, and fire protection
- Off-site Inspections of Main Equipment
