The “El Sillar” section, between km 100 and 128 of the Cochabamba-Santa Cruz highway, is one of the most critical areas of the Bolivian road network due to its complex geology, rugged topography and high rainfall. This 28 km infrastructure is a key part of the Bioceanic Corridor, connecting the country’s eastern and western borders and linking trade routes between Brazil, Peru, Chile and Bolivia.

- 4-lane dual carriageway (2 in each direction)
- 1,600 m tunnel
- 5.1 km of reinforced concrete retaining walls
- Elevation gain of over 1,300 m in 28 km

Role of Eptisa:
We lead the integral supervision of the work, including the review and validation of the engineering design, quality control, physical-financial follow-up, environmental verification and contractual management. In addition, we guarantee the correct execution of the construction contract, regulatory compliance and technical efficiency in all phases of the project.
