Study and Preparation of the Road Safety Plan for the Autonomous Road Network of Castilla-La Mancha.

The objective of the project is to improve road safety in a regional road network of almost 9,000 km, through a set of technical actions of analysis, evaluation and planning. Eptisa has developed a wide range of specialized services, which have provided the regional administration with a solid basis for strategic decision-making in accident prevention.

Scope of work:
  • Identification and calculation of:
    • TCA: Accident Concentration Tracts
    • ZPP: Potentially Hazardous Areas
    • TCA-A: Animal Accident Concentration Tracts (TCA-A)
    • TAPM: High Potential for Improvement (HIP) tracts
  • Preparation of technical reports on fatal accidents
  • Publication of accident yearbooks
  • Creation and maintenance of accident databases
  • Specific studies: motorcyclist and cyclist accident rates, analysis of black spots, etc.
  • Road safety inspections and audits in project and construction phases

Project Impact:

This plan is an essential tool for reducing the accident rate on the roads of Castilla-La Mancha, optimizing the resources allocated to maintenance and new works, and contributing to the development of safer and more sustainable mobility in the region.
