Project Overview
Eptisa is providing construction supervision services for the reconstruction and expansion of the Port of Bogojevo, a strategic initiative aligned with Serbia’s national transport policy and the EU’s development plans for the Danube River corridor.
The overall objective of the project is to improve inland waterway infrastructure on the Danube River, ensuring fast, safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly freight transportation, in accordance with the Danube Commission Recommendations and the EU transport system development strategy.
Scope of Work
- Construction Supervision
- Acting as the FIDIC Engineer under the FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction (Red Book, First Edition 1999).
- Ensuring compliance with Serbia’s Rulebook on the content and manner of conducting construction supervision (“Pravilnik o sadržini i načinu vođenja stručnog nadzora”) and relevant national legislation.
- Environmental and Social Monitoring
- Supervision of the Environmental Monitoring Plan implemented by the Works Contractor.
- Oversight of the Social Action Plan, ensuring alignment with sustainability and community impact standards.

The upgraded Port of Bogojevo will significantly enhance Serbia’s capacity for inland waterway freight transport, contributing to regional economic growth, improved logistics, and environmental sustainability.
