Ion Ţaina holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA in Bucharest, Romania.

With more than 25 years of experience in Eastern Europe (Romania, Moldova) and Spanish engineering market, he is currently the Managing Director and Administrator of Eptisa Romania, the largest Spanish engineering firm in Romania.
His career started in Romania in 1986, being part of Cernavoda Nuclear Power plant (CANDU type), after which he moved to Spain and joined Eptisa as construction supervising engineer, initially in Barcelona and then in Madrid. During these times, he contributed to important engineering constructions in Madrid, among other “Torres Puerta de Europa” or the construction of SERONO laboratories in Tres Cantos. From 1996, he started being in charge of projects in Romania, until he became Managing Director of Eptisa Romania in 2004 and Administrator in 2020. Internationally, he has also served as Project Director in Bulgaria and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Alongside, he has also participated in international FIDIC courses in London, Brussels, Barcelona or Dubai dealing mainly with contractual and claims issues, as means to continuously improve his professional performance.
