Mauricio is a Civil Engineer and one of the most recognized leaders in our sector both in Spain and internationally. His professional career has been developed mainly in IDOM, from where he joins Eptisa, being General Manager and member of the Executive Committee of the firm. We are sure that he will take Eptisa Engineering Services to new heights.

Mauricio Gómez Villarino
Doctorate in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Special Mention European Doctor; Senior Management Program at the IESE Business School, Universidad de Navarra. Member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Environmental Club; Trustee of the Caminos Foundation; Member of the Engineering and Sustainable Development Commission of the Spanish Engineering Institute. Independent Director on the Board of Directors of Banco BANCOFAR and FAM-Caminos in Grupo Banco Caminos.
He began his professional career at the end of the 90’s in the field of Energy in the Unión Fenosa-Naturgy Group; in 2003 he joined IDOM where he was successively Area Director in the Madrid office, Regional Director of IDOM-Canary Islands and Corporate Director in the United Kingdom. In 2011 he returned to Spain to manage the Idom headquarters in Madrid with more than 800 professionals and from 2012 he is also a member of the Executive Committee of the IDOM Group.
He has been an Associate Professor at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid for 14 years. Director of several courses and postgraduate masters in various institutions in the fields of Infrastructure, Project Management, Sustainability and Climate Change Adaptation. Occasional collaborator in different programs of Georgetown, Harvard and UPM Universities as well as ICEX and several Multilateral institutions. Author/co-author of five books and numerous articles in the field of engineering and consulting.
He has received several awards such as the Young Engineer Recognition by the Civil Engineers Association, Best Final Project Award, National Award for the best application of Uralita products and services in the field of Sustainability, among others.
Professional experience in Spain, UK, Portugal, Turkey, Algeria, France, USA, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, Arabia, Peru, Argentina, China, Colombia, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia and Jordan among others. He maintains professional relationships with senior officials of the Spanish public administration and numerous countries on the international scene, diplomats of many nationalities, entrepreneurs and business and industrial organizations, financial institutions, as well as multilateral funding agencies (WB, UN, IDB, EBRD, ADB, EIB,…) and managers of numerous companies in many different sectors.
