New and important award for Eptisa

Eptisa is grateful for the confidence that the Ministry of Public Works places in its professionals, as it has signed the contract to carry out the works of the Layout and Construction Project for the Improvement of the Connectivity of the A-23 highway, with the V-23 and the AP-7 freeway, within the joint venture formed together with the Valencian engineering companies Vielca and Ivicsa.

The contract is located in a double junction of the A-23 with the AP-7 and V-23, with a great complexity, being one of the most critical points of the entire Mediterranean Corridor.

The contract is located in a double junction of the A-23 with AP-7 and V-23, with a great complexity, being one of the most critical points of the entire Mediterranean Corridor.

Three high-capacity roads converge here, with very high traffic of different types, such as long-distance and local roads, which connect with complementary roads (N-340, N-234, CV-324, CV-314), as well as urban centers (Sagunto, Puerto de Sagunto, Gilet, Petrés), highly developed industrial areas and a state-owned port of general interest (Sagunto).

Specifically, the action will consist of:

  • Remodeling of the existing junctions: A-23 / V-23 and A-23 / AP-7 as links with directional branches.
  • Improving connectivity in the area around the junction and the A-23.
  • Expansion of the capacity of the AP-7 in the section between the AP-7/A-23 junction and the AP-7/A-7 fork.
  • A total of 18 new structures will be designed for this purpose, five of which are viaducts with a length of more than 100 meters.

In addition, the substantial improvement in quality that the project will introduce in the A-23/V-23 route will allow it to constitute a quality alternative to the AP-7 section that connects with the V-21, with the consequent improvement in accessibility to Valencia from the north.

"We push the new generations because their talent is the basis for the solutions of the future."
