Eptisa has received at its headquarters the Ambassador of China in Spain, His Excellency Mr. Wu Haitao. The Spanish Exporters and Investors Club, with the collaboration of Eptisa, organised a working breakfast with the Ambassador in order to promote economic and business relations between the two countries.
China is the second largest economy in the world, with a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 17,734,062 million dollars in 2021, which added to its position as the most populated country in the world makes it a market of great opportunities. China is Spain’s main partner on the Asian continent; in 2021 it was Spain’s 10th largest customer and 2nd largest supplier in the world. However, the growing liberalisation and expansion of the Chinese economy, the increasing presence of Spanish companies in the country, as well as the fact that 2023 will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, should be a spur to closer economic and trade relations between the two countries in the coming years.
The meeting offered Club members the opportunity to learn first-hand about the state of China’s economy, as well as the opportunities that the country offers to exporters and investors, in addition to exchanging impressions with the ambassador about the business climate in the country.
