Eptisa participates in the IX National Congress of Civil Engineering.

Under the title “The vision of the leaders of the civil engineering sector” our CEO, Mauricio Gómez, has had the privilege of participating in one of the round tables of the IX National Congress of Civil Engineering. In this table, one of the most relevant of the event, were present the great Spanish engineering companies, Typsa, Ayesa, IDOM, Sener and EPTISA, all of them commanded by executives who lead the Spanish engineering sector.

During the day, topics such as the leadership of Spanish companies, adaptation to a changing environmental world, Artificial Intelligence applied to civil engineering or equality, talent and remuneration in the sector were discussed.

Mauricio Gómez, during his speech, reviewed the keys to the last 25 years of Spanish engineering and then focused on future challenges, raising four internal issues (New trends to attract talent, the need for multinational teams that work in a multidisciplinary but also interdisciplinary way, digital transformation as a means and not as an end, and the need for management training for engineers) and four issues outwards (Truly integrating sustainable development into designs and business management, the new key disciplines for the complementary training of engineers and the need for engineering services to enter more strongly into the Planning and OPEX phases, also pointing out the Territory as a key structuring element in the development of any country or region. Mauricio concluded by stating that engineering can and must continue to contribute to Spain occupying the position that corresponds to it both in terms of the size of our economy and our socio-geographical location.

This 9th edition of the National Congress of Civil Engineering has the slogan: ”  “. A phrase that perfectly identifies the common thread of the event, the leadership position of the civil engineering sector in the face of the challenges we face as a society.

Eptisa was also well represented, not only by Mauricio Gómez, but also by Laura Gorrachategui, Juan Ortas and Félix Guijarro.
